Considering God’s Schedule Pt-4 ~ Message 60

:  This message gets into the ages of the Earth and how the description of creation in Genesis One, is only part of the story

   What people believe is very controlling.  It provides direction in life but how we come to believe what we do is seldom ever thought about.  People were taught that the world was flat and that was the primary reason that they congregated in Europe and Africa instead of exploring the earth.  Even after Columbus proved it is round many refused to believe any differently.  They were unaware that the Old Testament in Isaiah described the Earth as a circle, see 40: 22.

   In this message serious consideration is given to the additional information in Second Peter describing a previous Earth that went bad and how God recreated it.   

          Salient Points: Why we age, Circumcision, God’s interacting creation, Signs of things to come, God is directly involved, God doesn’t need our approval, New creatures in Christ Jesus, Starting over again and again, A new Earth, Scientific guessing games, Hidden from the wise and prudent, God’s objective, Why we are fearful, Who is more important you or God, Curiosity, God is emotional, In the beginning, How old is the Earth, Just like children, Water is very significant, Seas are very different, The Great Deeps.
